My Transformation

Thank You Mom

This was originally an assignment I did for English class last semester that I thought I’d share…..

Me And Momma

Mom has been there from the first day,

So my Thank You is to her;

Not always sure what to say,

So this assignment is better.

This is just a small token of appreciation for everything that my mother has done and has yet to do. Mom did everything in her power to make me into the wonderful person I am today so it is only fitting that my Thank You letter is to her.

To:             My Mother (Linda Gruntke)

From:         Aaron Gruntke (Her Son)

Subject:     Thank you for being my Mom

Dearest Mother of Mine,

Momma………. I don’t get to say this to you enough so I thought I’d just take a second to thank you. When I say thank you I mean thank you for absolutely everything. For having me, for loving me, for sacrificing for me and for dealing with me (Toughest job you ever had I bet).

Mom you were there for me when no one else was. All the times you had to go to meetings at this school or that school. All the meetings with psychologists and psychiatrists. Mom you fought for me when no one else would. All the principles telling you I was no good. Later all the court appearances and judges saying the same. You knew different. You knew it was only a matter of time.

In closing I just want to reiterate how thankful I was and am to have you in my life. I would not be where I am today if I didn’t have your faith in me. I will always make you happy and I will always be your sunshine.

Sincerely,

Your Son Aaron.

    You poked my heart in a good way…you now have made me even prouder than i was with all that you are doing now. A beautiful family (sorry but Violet also holds a special place thtoo), going to college (graduating high school ) and a great business idea. You kept me young and I love you for it.
